G.I. Joe Games for Kids

Many children find the G.I. Joe action figures fascinating and can spend hours playing with them. If you are hosting a birthday party or friend gathering for a group of boys who enjoy playing with these action-packed heroes, plan a few games they can play. Supplies, some creativity and a few game ideas are all you need to plan G.I. Joe games for kids.
  1. G.I. Joe Airplane Contest

    • Give each child an airplane model kit, which is available online and at many craft stores. Tell the children to put together and design a G.I. Joe airplane. Place brown, green and black paint and markers on the table for the children to use. After the children finish their airplanes, award a prize to the best and most creative G.I. Joe airplane. Take the children outdoors and see which plane can fly the farthest distance. Award a prize to the player who creates the plane that flies the farthest.

    G.I. Joe Wrap

    • Divide the children into teams of three or four. Give each team a roll of green, black and brown crepe streamer, and a plastic camouflage helmet. When you say, "Wrap your solider," the teams must select one player to wrap in the crepe paper. The first team to wrap their team member in all the crepe steamer and place the camouflage hat on his head is the winner.

    Team Joe vs. Team Cobra

    • Have the children split into two teams; team Joe and team Cobra. Mark a starting line and have both teams line up. Give the first player in each team line a plastic toy gun and holster, a camouflage vest and a plastic camouflage hat. Mark a run-to-line 20 feet away from the starting line. When you say, "Go," the first player must put on the gun, vest and hat and run to the run-to-line yelling, "Team Joe or Team Cobra." He then has to run back and hand the items to the next player in his team line who must do the same thing. The first team to finish the relay race wins the game.

    G.I. Joe Figurine Hunt

    • Hide several G.I. Joe action figurines all over the party area. Give the players a plastic camouflage bag and tell them to find as many figurines as they can. The player who finds the most G.I. Joe figurines wins the game and a large G.I. Joe toy. You can also mark special dots on a couple of the figurines. Players who find these figurines also win an extra prize. All the players can keep the figurines they found as prizes to take home.
