Instructions
Practice firing your Nerf gun. You need to understand how it works, which includes its range and accuracy. Spend some time shooting at a target in your yard and gradually moving away from it. You will have a better understanding of your Nerf gun and its capabilities.
Train with your team. If you plan on having Nerf wars regularly, you should try to play with the same individuals on your team. The longer you play together, the better you will work together. You can even develop practice maneuvers and drills in your yard to keep you sharp between battles.
Practice evasive maneuvers. Ducking, running, jumping and crawling are all moves you might have to make in a battle. Practice these maneuvers with your equipment on.
Know your play area. If you regularly play in one area, familiarize yourself with the "map" as best as you can. Know where people are likely to hide, know where the trees or other defensive objects are and be aware of any peculiarities in the terrain. If you know the area in advance, you will be better able to take good defensive and offensive positions.
Communicate with your team when in battle. It is extremely important that you have open communication throughout the match. Nerf is a team game, so you must play it as such. Don't try to kill all of your foes on your own. Work together with your team to reach your objectives.
