Review Game
A fun way to up a review session in a classroom setting is to let the children play a balloon dart game. Simply place a slip of paper with a relevant quiz question on it and blow up the balloon. You will then tape the balloons to a bulletin board and the children will take turns throwing a dart at a balloon and answering the enclosed quiz question. You can make it more competitive by splitting the class into two teams and reward the team a point for each correct answer given. The team with the most points in the end wins.
Party Game
For children older than 6 or 7, a fun party game is one where you put a small piece of candy into a balloon and blow it up. You then will hang up the balloons on a tree in a park where you are hosting your party. When it is the child's turn, he will use the dart to pop the balloon and retrieve the candy. He can throw it at the balloon to pop it or if he needs help he can ask a friend or simply poke the balloon to expose the candy. This game is a nice change of pace from a piñata at a child's party.
Incentive Game
For an ongoing game or contest a creative idea is to make a balloon dart game wall. This could be used as an incentive at a job or at school. When an employee or a student reaches a personal or work goal, he will get to throw a dart at the balloon wall. Within each balloon there will be a slip of paper that explains the reward he will get. For an employee, it could be a gift certificate or a free paid vacation day and for a student it could be a chance to pick a prize from a treasure chest or a free homework pass.
Summer Fun Ideas Game
When school is out for the summer, children will find themselves bored and mom or dad may feel stressed about making their vacation exciting. Why not make a balloon dart game? In the game you will fill the balloons with activity, craft or game ideas to keep everyone entertained. You could limit the number of darts to one a day or let the children do as many as they can within a day. It will keep the stress off you and allow the t\children to choose their activities for the day in a fun game form.
