Fairy Tinkerbell Games

Many girls love the Tinkerbell character from J.M. Barrie's story "Peter Pan," so it may not come as a surprise if your daughter wants to play some fairy-themed games. When planning a Tinkerbell party or games for a sleepover, use your imagination and creativity to plan activities that will bring smiles to their faces. Encourage the children to play the games by awarding Tinkerbell and fairy-themed prizes.
  1. Pixie Dust Toss

    • Have all the girls select a partner and stand facing each other about 3 feet apart. Give each girl a plastic cup and fill one of the cups up with silver, glittery pompoms. Each time you say, "Toss," the girls must toss the pompoms to their partners. After 10 tosses, the team with the most pompoms still in their cups wins the game.

    Sleeping Fairies

    • Tell the girls to lie down on their backs and pretend to be sleeping. Tell the girls the Queen of Fairies cast a sleeping spell on them. As they start to become impatient and restless, they will begin moving around and giggling. Any "fairy" caught laughing or moving is out of the game. Players out of the game can try to make the other "fairies" laugh but cannot touch them. The last "sleeping fairy" wins the game.

    Floating Fairies

    • Inflate several pink, purple and green balloons. Give one balloon to each girl and have her draw a fairy on the balloon with a marker. After the balloons dry, have the girls line up at a starting line and mark a finish line about 20 feet away. When you say, "Go," the girls must tap their fairy balloons in the air toward the finish line. If any player lets her balloon touch the ground at any time, she has to start over. The first girl to reach the finish line wins the game.

    Tinkerbell Relay Race

    • Divide the girls into two teams and have them line up at a starting line. Give the first girl in each team a set of fairy wings. Mark another line about 20 feet away and place a bowl of glitter on the line. When you say, "Race," the two girls must put on their fairy wings, run to the other line and sprinkle "fairy dust" on their heads. Each girl must run back and hand the wings over to the next player on her team who must then do the same thing. The first team to finish the relay race wins the game.
