Tutu Relay
Every little ballerina needs a tutu, so for this ballerina girl game make sure all participants have one. Divide the girls into teams of equal numbers, and then have each girl place her tutu at the opposite end of the room from where her group will line up. Make sure the tutus become mixed up within the pile. Each girl must tiptoe across the room, find her tutu, put it on and return to tag the next team member. The first team to retrieve all its tutus wins.
Ballet Freeze Dance
This is a classic game that works well with any type of music, but is especially fun when based on a specific dance form like ballet. Using classical ballet movements, have the girls "freestyle" some ballet moves. Consider placing a hand-drawn chart of various ballet movements and positions somewhere in the area where they will be playing. Instruct the girls that they must freeze in whatever position they happen to be in when the music stops. The girl who is able to stay still without moving the longest wins.
Ballerina Dance Contest
For this ballerina game, you will need a fairly large space. Divide participants into equal groups, and present each with a music CD featuring a classical or contemporary ballet song. Instruct each group to create a choreography to the music it has been given, and give the girls a few movements (such as a pirouette, chassée or battement) that must be incorporated into their routine. After 30 minutes, have each group return to a central area. Each group will perform its choreographies for a panel of impartial judges (parents, older siblings or other teachers) who will choose the winning group.

Choose a ballet movie or book for this game. Use your discretion regarding the age group of the ballerinas participating in the game. For example, Angelina Ballerina is appropriate for younger girls, while a film like "Center Stage" may be more exciting for older ones. Show the movie or read the book to the girls, and then ask trivia questions based on the material presented. Quiz them on specific questions about the ballet in the story or movie, rather than about the characters. The girl who answers the most questions correctly wins.
