Preschool Superman Games

If you are a preschool teacher, parent or daycare teacher looking for games about superheroes, try a few Superman games the children can enjoy. Keep the games simple, as most preschoolers have a short attention span and get bored easily. From a Kryptonite hunt to a Superman training course, preschoolers can play hands-on games that keep them active and learning about the superhero. These games also work well for a Superman-themed birthday party.
  1. Kryptonite Hunt

    • Spray several golf balls with neon green paint and hide them indoors or outdoors. Divide the preschoolers into two teams and have them line up at a starting line. Place a small bucket beside each team at the line. Give the first player in each team line a pair of oven mitts and a pair of tongs. When you say, "Go," the first player in each line has to put on the oven mitts and gloves. He must find a piece of "kryptonite" (neon green balls), pick it up with the tongs and run it back to his team's bucket at the starting line. Each player on the team has to do the same thing. The first team to finish the relay wins the race.

    Superman Training Course

    • Set up a Superman training course for your preschoolers. Lay ropes on the ground for a tight rope and a rope woven in and out of trees for them to go through like a maze; decorate cardboard boxes that look like buildings to jump over, sawhorses to crawl under and old tires to walk through. Divide the children into teams and see who can do the course the fastest, or time each preschooler to see who has the fastest time.

    Kryptonite Toss

    • Use the neon green balls from the kryptonite hunt in a toss game. Place a small laundry basket or wastebasket on the floor and mark a standing line about 5 feet away. Give each preschooler three "kryptonite" balls to try to toss into the basket. For each ball she lands in the basket, award her a small Superman-themed prize, such as a pencil or stickers.

    Superman Puzzles

    • Print several pictures of Superman on card stock paper (one for each preschooler). Cut the pictures into eight pieces and place each puzzle in a plastic zipper bag. Give each child a bag and tell him to try to put the puzzle together. Award a large prize to the preschooler who puts the puzzle together first and smaller prizes to each player who completes the puzzle. To make the pieces last longer and be most durable, laminate them before placing them in the plastic bags.
