Things You'll Need
Instructions
Launch your text editing software by clicking the icon or file name on your computer.
Insert a simple image into the text editing software. Locate and open the file on your computer. Right click the image and select "Copy" from the pop-up menu. Right click the blank screen of your text editor and select "Paste" from the pop-up menu. The image will appear on the screen.
Click "Basic Shapes" then "Oval Tool" from the drawing toolbar on the screen. If this toolbar is not currently visible, click "View" and then "Drawing Toolbar" on the menu bar.
Click a blank part of the screen. Drag the cursor while holding the "Shift" key until your circle reaches the size you desire. This will be the size of each dot in the game.
Click the dot and then press the "Ctrl" and "D" buttons at the same time. Continue to press these buttons until you have enough dots to create the game. Dots should be placed about 1/2 to 1 inch apart along the lines of the image.
Place the dots along the outline and other major lines of the image. Click and drag each dot to the position in which you desire it to be located.
Click to the side of each dot. Starting with number "1" label each dot with a number following the order in which they are to be connected.
Delete the original image from the screen by right clicking the image and selecting "Delete" from the pop-up screen.
Click "File" and then "Save" to save your dot-to-dot image.
Print the dotted image by clicking "File" and then "Print" if you wish to make the game playable on paper. Otherwise, open the file in photo-editing software so that the dots can be connected by drawing on the screen with the mouse and cursor.
