Kissing Booth
Create a kissing booth and charge one ticket per kiss. Instead of a real kiss, hand each child a chocolate kiss and stamp a set of red lips on each child's cheek. By the end of the day, there are several children walking around with red lips on their cheeks. Make sure the red ink you use to stamp the kid's faces is kid-safe.
Prize Walk
Use a white pen or paint to write different prizes, such as a cookie, a cake, 10 tickets, a lollipop or a small plush toy on the back of sheets of black construction paper. Leave several sheets blank and place all the pieces of black paper face down in a circle on the ground. Play music and have the children walk around the circle. When the music stops, each child must stand on a sheet of black paper. After everyone selects a piece of paper, they reach down and flip it over. If it is blank, they win nothing. If the paper has something written on it, they win the prize, amount of tickets or goodies.
Bubble-Blowing Contest
Since gum is usually a no-no in school, this game is quite popular at carnivals. Have three to five players compete at a time. Give each player a piece of bubble gum and give him one minute to chew it. When you say, "Go!" the players have three attempts to blow their biggest bubble. Have an adult measure each child's bubble with a ruler for exact measurements. The player who blows the largest bubble wins the game and a prize.
Snake Pit
Write a number, "1", "2" or "3," on the bottom of several plastic snakes and place them in a large bucket. Use super glue to attach a magnet to each snake. Attach another magnet to a string tied to a large wooden dowel. The children must toss the string into the snake pit and try to bring up a snake. Create three prize buckets labeled "1, 2 and 3." If a child pulls a snake up with the number "2," she must select a prize from bucket number two. Allow each child to pull up a snake from the snake bin.
