Blind Artists
Have each party guest select a partner. Tell the pairs to sit on the floor across from one another, and blindfold one player on each team. Give each one of the players who are not blindfolded a random object, such as an apple, a key, a hairbrush or a stuffed animal. Hand a sheet of paper and a pencil to each blindfolded player. When you say, "Draw," the partners with the objects must explain the object to their blindfolded partners without telling them what the object is. The partners have to draw what their partners are describing to them. After each player has her object drawn, judge the pictures. The player who draws the closest picture to her object wins the game.
Sugar Cube Igloos
Tell the guests to sit around a table and give each guest a paper plate, bowl of sugar cubes and white icing. Make pastry bags by filling a plastic bag with white icing and cutting a hole on one corner of the bag. The guests can use the icing like glue to make their very own sugar cube igloos. Award a prize to the guest with the best-looking igloo.
Who's the Leader?
Select one player to be "it" and have him walk out of the room. Make sure "it" cannot hear you and select another player to be the "leader." Have "it" come back in the room and stand in the middle of the circle. The "leader" has to hop on one foot, pat his head or rub his stomach without the "it" player catching him. All other players must copy the "leader." "It" has three guesses to try to guess who the leader is. If he guesses correctly, he can select the next "it" player. If he does not guess correctly, he is the "it" for the next game.
Winter Penguin Relay Race
Inflate a couple of black-and-white balloons. Divide the players into two teams. Mark a starting line and finish line about 20 feet apart. Have all the players line up at the starting line and give the first player in each line a balloon. When you say, "Go," the players have to place the balloon between their legs and hop or wobble to the finish line. Once she reaches the finish line, she can run the balloon back to the next player in line who has to do the same thing. The first team to finish the penguin relay race wins the game.
