Makeovers

• Teens, tweens and younger girls often enjoy doing makeovers on each other. A makeover generally includes applying makeup to each other, doing nails and styling hair. There are games that can be played with this activity, too. Blind Makeover is a game where one person is blindfolded and must apply makeup to another person. Another game to play is called No Mirror Makeover. Each girl applies her own makeup without looking in a mirror.

Toilet Paper Share Game

• This game works well for any age group of girls as long as the girls are unfamiliar with it. Have the girls sit around in a circle and hand the first girl a roll of toilet paper. Instruct her to rip off as much or as little as she wants. Pass the roll around the circle allowing each girl to do the same. After everyone has some, tell them they must share something about themselves for each square of toilet paper in their hand. This is a great game that helps girls get to know each other.

What's in your Purse?

• Girls of many ages carry purses, however this game is best for girls around the ages of 12-15. Before the get together, make a list of common things that might be found in a girl's purse. Include things like lipstick, a mirror, perfume, a pen, nail polish and a ring. Whoever has the most items on the list wins a prize. Part of the fun of this game is watching as the girls rummage through their purses.

Nail Polish Spin Game

• The Nail Polish Spin game is also appropriate for almost any age group, but generally is enjoyed most by younger girls. In this game, several different colors of nail polish are placed in the center of a circle of girls. One girl begins the game by spinning one bottle of polish. Whoever the nail polish is pointing at when it stops must paint one fingernail with that color. The game continues around the circle until all girls have both hands completely painted. This game also works with toenails.
