Online Games

• Allow your little catwalk creator to design her own fashions online using a website like Fashion Playtes. The game has several avenues of exploration. Kids can design clothing for themselves and for a special doll. Children create clothing using templates and store creations in their personal collections.

  Start out by helping your child select a piece to make. There are templates for shirts, pants, dresses, swimwear and outerwear. Use the size chart to measure the size you want. Select a color and an under-layer design. Choose from rhinestones, graphics and appliques to complete your creation. You can purchase your newly-designed clothes if you like.

Design Kits

• Fashion Angels offers a variety of design kits. Each kit contains a different set for your child's collection. The Fashion Stylist Challenge Set, for example, includes a challenge wheel that you spin to get your "designer challenge." Once you accept the challenge, select a client sheet and get started. Use the color wheel and swatches to create the challenge garment.

• Imagine: Fashion Designer for the Nintendo DS is a virtual design studio. Design custom pieces using a combination of colors and fabrics for your catwalk shows. You can design accessories like purses, hats and jewelry and use different hairstyles and makeup on your models. This game will also give your child a look behind the scenes of a major fashion agency.
