Egg Hunt Games for Girls

With a little planning, you can create fun egg hunts for girls. From indoor games to outdoor games, use your imagination and a few supplies from your local retail store to get started. Entice the girls to play along by awarding prizes, such as Easter-themed candy, jewelry and toys, to all game winners.
  1. Nighttime Egg Hunt

    • Purchase pink glow-in-the-dark paint from your local hardware or retail store. Hard boil several eggs and write the girls' names on the eggs with the glow-in-the-dark paint. Make five eggs for each girl. Hide the eggs in the yard when it gets dark and have the girls go outside to hunt for their eggs. The first girl to find all five of her eggs (the ones with her name on them) wins the game.

    Musical Eggs

    • Print or draw several colored eggs on large poster board and scatter the eggs all over the party area or outdoors. Be sure the eggs are not where the girls can see them and put out one egg fewer than you have players. When you send the girls outside or into the room that has the eggs, they have to run to an egg and stand on it. The girl not standing on an egg is out of the game. Remove an egg, mix them up and play again. The last player who finds an egg and stands on it wins the game.

    Colored Egg Pass

    • Have all the girls sit in a circle and select one girl to be "it." Give one girl a pink or purple plastic egg and have "it" sit in the middle of the circle. "It" has to look down and count to 20, while the girls pass the egg around the circle. One girl has to place the egg in her hands behind her back or in her lap. All the other girls must act as if they have the egg, too. When "it" looks up, she has three guesses to identify the girl who has the egg. If she guesses correctly, the girl holding the egg is the new "it" player. If she does not guess correctly in three guesses, she is "it" again.

    Name Egg Hunt

    • Make several pink and purple hard-boiled eggs. Use a permanent marker to write the letters of each girl's name of different eggs. Each egg will have only one letter, but be sure to include all the letters of each girl's names on the eggs. Hide the eggs indoors or outdoors and have the girls hunt them. The first girl to find an egg with each letter of her name wins the game.
