Frosty the Snowman Games & Activities

Frosty the Snowman, with his jolly, happy soul, adds excitement to any children's birthday party or classroom party. Use your imagination to create activities children will love. From a game of "Pin the Top Hat on Frosty" to a balloon-stuffing game, a few supplies and creativity are all you need to get started. Award all game winners with prizes, such as snowman-themed pencils, erasers and notepads, to keep them ready for the next game.
  1. Pin the Top Hat

    • Draw a snowman on a large poster board and hang it on the wall. Print or draw several top hats, and attach double-sided tape to the back of each one. Blindfold each child and spin him three times. Tell him to try to stick the top hat in the correct spot on Frosty. The child who places the top hat closest to the correct spot wins the game.

    Dress-Up Relay

    • Fill two laundry baskets or cardboard boxes each with a scarf, top hat, gloves or mittens and a broom. Mark a starting line and a finish line about 20 feet apart. Place the baskets of snowmen clothes and brooms at the finish line. Divide the players into two teams and have them line up at the starting line.

When you say, "Go," the first player in each line must run to the basket, put on each piece of clothing and grab a broom. She must run back to her team line and hand everything to the next player in line, who must put on the clothes, grab the broom, run to the finish line and back. Each team player must do the same thing. The first team to finish the relay wins.

    Toilet Paper Snowmen

    • Divide the players into groups of three or four and have each team select one player to be Frosty. Give each team two rolls of toilet paper. When you say, "Go," the teammates use the toilet paper to create Frosty. For added decoration, give each team two coal eyes and a carrot nose, using self-adhesive craft foam paper. Once the children finish wrapping Frosty using toilet paper, they can attach the eyes and nose. The first team to wrap Frosty in toilet paper and attach the eyes and nose wins the game.

    Stuff Frosty

    • Purchase two extra-large, white sweat suits. Divide the children into two teams and have each team select one player to be Frosty. They must put on the sweat suits over their clothes. Inflate several white balloons and scatter them all over the party area. When you say, "Stuff Frosty," each team must stuff as many white balloons as they can into the sweat suit. Give the children five minutes to stuff as many balloons as they can in Frosty. Popped balloons do not count. The winner is the team with the most balloons stuffed into Frosty at the end of five minutes.
