Preschool Horse Games

Kids of preschool age can benefit from playing games, which will help them learn and develop skills while keeping them entertained. Many preschool games are based around animals, which have an almost universal appeal for kids, so it's no surprise that a range of preschool horse games exist. Some of these will require adult supervision, at least initially, to help the child get the most from the game.
  1. Virtual Farm Yard

    • This simple game is played through a user's web browser, and consists only of one screen, in which four farmyard animals can be found, one of which is a horse. Clicking on an animal with the left mouse button allows the player to hear the sound each animal makes, helping preschool users to distinguish between the characteristics of different animals.

    Letter H Horse Jigsaw

    • This game helps children to learn about the letter H through the medium of a horse-based jigsaw puzzle, and is played through a user's web browser. The jigsaw features six pieces, which when placed together, form the image of a horse. Players must click and drag on each piece using the mouse to assemble the jigsaw in the correct order. The basic jigsaw is most suitable for preschool players; adults supervising this game can use the change cut option on the left-hand side of the screen to make the game tougher by increasing the number of pieces, however.

    Zoom and Groom

    • This web browser game is based around the popular kids' toy franchise, "Barbie", and puts players in charge of grooming various animals, including two colorful horses at a stable. The player selects beauty items from the shelf on the left-hand side of the screen and drags them across to each horse to utilize the item. The game is relatively simple, though some preschoolers may require adult supervision initially to grasp how to use the grooming items.

    Pilar Dress-up

    • This online game tasks players with dressing several animals, including a cartoon horse, in human clothes, including hats, shirts and trousers. Each item of clothing or accessory is drawn from the wardrobe on the left-hand side of the screen, and dragged across to the model using the mouse. The player can change the background the animal is standing in using the scenery buttons at the bottom of the screen, and print her creation when she's finished using the printer option in the screen's top right-hand corner.

    Pin The Tail

    • This variant on the classic kids' party game "Pin The Tail On The Donkey" uses a picture of a horse, minus its tail, instead of a donkey, but otherwise it's identical. Kids take turns to be blindfolded and attempt to stick a cut-out paper tail to the right location on a picture of a horse. The child with the closest effort, judged by a supervising adult, wins a prize.
