Hopscotch
The traditional game of Hopscotch is a classic that will keep your kids busy and entertained. To play, you will need to draw a hopscotch board with 10 boxes, numbered 1 through 10. Alternate the course with one box and then two boxes. The game is played by each player taking turns throwing a stone into the first box. If the stone stays inside the box without touching the sides, the other player has to hop through the hopscotch course, alternating between hopping on one foot and then both feet. If the player makes it through the course and back successfully, he then gets to toss the rock into the second box.
Tic-Tac-Toe
Tic-tac-toe is another classic game that is easy for young children to learn how to play. Begin by drawing a tic-tac-toe board onto the pavement. The board is made up of two lines drawn vertically, and then two lines drawn horizontally over them, making something that looks like a # sign. The players then take turns drawing Xs and Os in boxes of their choosing, until one player has gotten three Xs or three Os in a row.
Portraits
Portrait drawing is a game for your children that will allow them to unleash their artistic creativity. Having them draw portraits of other children in the class will help them learn about the art of portrait drawing while also letting them have fun. At the end, have the children turn it into a game by trying to guess which portrait belongs to which student.
Roman Ball
Roman Ball is a game that is played by drawing two large circles with chalk on the pavement. The inner circle should be about five feet in diameter, while the outer one should be around 20 feet in diameter. The object of the game is to bounce a big inflatable ball and have it bounce in the inner circle first, and then the outer circle. Other players must try to catch the ball before it bounces for a second time. If the ball is caught, the catcher will then become the thrower. If the ball bounces successfully, the thrower gets one point. The first player to get 11 points wins.
