Caterpillar Race
Divide the players into teams of six or seven people and have them line up at a starting line. Mark a finish line about 25 feet away from the starting line. Have each team line up in single file line and place their hands on the shoulders of the person in front of them. The first player in each line must place his hands on his hips. When you say, "Go," the players can only hop to the finish line. They must figure out how to hop together. If any player's hands come off another player's shoulders during the race, they must go back to the starting line to start over. The first team across the finish line wins the game.
Keep Your Balloons Up
Split the players into two teams and place masking tape on the floor to mark off boundaries. Inflate 20 to 30 balloons for each team and make sure each team has its own color balloons. When it is time to play, the players must try to keep their team-colored balloons in the air, while knocking the opposing team's balloons to the ground. Set a timer for five minutes. When the timer goes off, the team with the most balloons in the air wins the game.
Chair Basketball Relay
Place two chairs on the floor about 10 feet apart facing each other. Put a tall laundry basket in between the two chairs. Divide the players into two teams and have one player from each team sit in a chair. Give both players a soft foam basketball. The players must try to toss the basketball in to the laundry basket. The first player to make a basket earns a point for their team. The next two players from each team must do the same. After each player from each team has gone, the team with the most points wins the game.
Over and Under Relay
Have teams line up in a single file line and give the first player in each line a ball, such as a basketball, volleyball or soccer ball. All players must be facing the same way so that they can only see the back of the player in front of them. When you say, "Go," the first player in line must pass the ball over his head to the teammate behind him. That teammate must pass the ball through his legs to the player behind him. The teammates continue the over and under ball pass all the way down their team line. The first team to finish the race wins the game.
