Balloon Prize
On several slips of paper, write "Sorry not a winner this time," then write on one slip of paper, "Congrats you are the winner." Inflating several balloons, insert one slip of paper into each balloon. Scatter the balloons all over the floor. When you say, "Go," the children must run to the balloons and begin popping them to try to find the "winner." The children have to stand and sit on the balloons to pop them, and you should make sure that they only grab and pop one balloon at a time. The child who finds the "winner" balloon wins the prize.
Treasure Hunt Teams
The children are divided into two teams, each team with 20 items such as an apple, a penny, a small hand towel, a rubber duck and a plastic Easter egg. Be sure each team has the same items, or just reuse the items for each hunt. The kids on one team must hide their eyes while the other team hides the items. Give the team two minutes to find as many items as they can. The second team then hides the same items and they have two minutes to find as many as they can. The team that finds the most items in two minutes wins the game.
Sand Bag Jump
Fill a small cloth bag with play sand and tie it using rope. Tie a string approximately 6 to 7 feet long around the sand bag. The children stand in a circle about six inches apart. The adult then holds the sand bag on the string and stand in the middle of the circle. Swing the string around the circle at the kids' feet so they have to jump over the bag when it comes to them. Have them practice for about two minutes and then start the game. If the sand bag hits a child before she jumps over it, she is out of the game. The last player standing wins.
Falling Stars
Before it gets dark outside, hide several glow-in-the-dark stars around the yard. These stars are available online and at many retail stores. As soon as it gets dark, the children have to run into the yard to try to find as many stars as they can. The player who finds the most stars wins the game and a prize.
