Snow Tag
Divide the kids into two teams. Separate the teams to either side of the outdoor space, keeping them about 20 feet away from each other. Start counting back from 100 as the children start creating as many snowballs as they can. Once you finish counting down, the teams start to throw their snowballs at their enemies on the opposite side of the yard. Any player hit by a snowball has to join the opposite team. The game ends when all of the players have joined one team.
Snow Baseball
Create a baseball diamond by piling up snow into four mounds. Each mound represents a base (home, first, second and third). Place a plastic bottle on top of each mound, lightly packing the bottom of the bottles with snow so they stand up sturdy. In the middle of the diamond, have one player take a turn. He has to throw as many snowballs as it takes to knock each of the plastic bottles down. Allow everyone to have a turn, recording how many tries it took each person. The person with the fewest failed throws wins the game.
Snowflake Fans
Take an 8-inch by 11-1/2-inch white piece of construction paper and fold it in half lengthwise. Cut the paper in half. Fold the paper as if you're creating a paper fan by folding in one of the shorter ends about 1/2 inch until you have a thick rectangle-shape. Staple the middle of the fan. Cut slants on the edges of both sides of the rectangular shape, and create a design using a hole punch. Unfold the fan into a circular shape. Tape the sides so they stick together. The resulting decoration should look like a snowflake.
Toilet Roll Snowmen
Gather up some used toilet paper rolls. Use white construction paper to cut out snowman shapes. The shapes should be as long and as wide as a toilet paper roll. Glue the snowman shapes to the toilet paper rolls so they stand up. Tie a red ribbon around the snowman's neck, and create its eyes, nose, arms and mouth with colorful markers. Add a top hat by cutting out one section of an egg carton and painting it black. Glue the hat onto the top of the toilet roll.
