How to Make Cotton Candy Games

Use cotton candy as a theme for creating games. The light, airy confection pairs well with various types of events and settings -- festivals, fairs, parties and events in children's classrooms. Because cotton candy dissolves when it touches liquid, like sweat from hands, the games can't include direct contact with the treat. Most cotton candy has a pink color, but blue, green and yellow varieties also are sold. One way to utilize a cotton candy game would be to play it on a dreary winter day in a classroom to help improve the students' moods.

Instructions

  1. Cotton Candy Toss

    • 1

Fill a clean plastic bag with cotton candy. Tie it closed. You can use stale cotton candy since it won't be eaten.

    • 2

Write one question on a slip of paper and fold it in half. Write a different question on another piece of paper. Use any type of questions you want. For example, use questions relevant to the history of cotton candy. Repeat this until you have 30 slips of paper. Place the slips of paper in a bucket.

    • 3

Arrange the players in a circle. Have them throw the cotton candy to each other. Each person who catches it removes a question from the bucket and answers it.

Pin the Cotton Candy on the Cone

    • 4

Draw a long triangle onto a piece of poster board. Cut it out. Tape it to the wall.

    • 5

Cut out eight to 10 circles from the poster board. Brush white glue over the circles. Sprinkle pink glitter onto the circles. Set aside the circles to dry.

    • 6

Lay white stuffing onto a flat surface that can be painted. Spray paint the stuffing with pink spray paint. Leave it to dry.

    • 7

Apply tacky glue to the glittery circles. Press pieces of the pink-painted stuffing to the circles. The stuffing doesn't need to cover the entire circle. The glitter is visible through the gaps in the stuffing.

    • 8

Press a piece of double-sided tape on the back of each circle. The players wear a blindfold and try to put the piece of cotton candy onto the cone.
