K'nex Super Structures Instructions

K'nex refers to a type of construction set designed especially for children. Unlike other sets, which consist of blocks that children need to interconnect to slowly build a structure, K'nex consists of plastic rods of various sizes and plastic attaching connectors. This allows kids complete creative freedom when building because they're using such versatile building materials. Using the K'nex super structure set, kids can build roller coasters, towers, volcanoes, pirate ships and many other structures.

Instructions

  Open the booklet included in the kit and look through it carefully. Decide which K'nex Super Structures model you'd like to build. Any given kit allows you to create dozens of models, not to mention one-of-a-kind structures that you build yourself.

  Study the picture of the model you've chosen, particularly the foundation. Lay your plastic rods in front of you so they mimic the exact shape of the rods in the picture. Look at the picture and count how many plastic connectors the foundation of the structure uses.

  Attach each plastic rod to a connector in such a way that you create the basic shape of the foundation of the structure. Examine the photo, looking at the second layer of materials and how they connect to the foundation.

  Count out the pieces that you'll need to make this second layer and attach them to your foundational pieces, using the photograph as your guide. Continue building the structure in this fashion, layer by layer, paying attention to the number of pieces that you'll need for each part.
