Many varieties of bingo exist. The simplicity of the game makes it appropriate for children of almost any age. Creating a game with pictures will allow even young children to play. Bingo can help teach children shapes, numbers and colors. With the average game taking between four and four-and a-half minutes, it is an activity that will hold the attention of young children. Instructions

    • 1

Decide on a theme for your picture bingo game, such as favorite TV shows, sports, princess themes, family, animals or food.

    • 2

Collect pictures from magazines, online or from clip art images.

    • 3

Create a 5-by-5 grid on card stock by drawing it by hand. Card stock is sturdier than paper, so you can reuse it. Each box on the grid should be 2 inches square so the grid measures 10-by-10.

    • 4

Cut pictures out and glue them randomly on the grid. Make a copy of each picture. Place the second set of copies in a basket so the caller can pick a picture and call it out to play the game.

    • 5

Laminate the cards so they are sturdy enough to reuse many times.

    • 6

Use buttons to mark pictures that match those called out.
