Freezing Fairies
Set up a radio and put on classical music. Tell the girls to dance around like fairies until you stop the music. Once the music stops, the girls must freeze for five seconds. Any player who moves during the freeze time is out. Continue the game until one girl remains. She wins.
Fairies and Trolls
This game is a version of Duck, Duck, Goose. Have the girls sit in a circle. Choose one girl to be the tapper. The tapper walks around the circle, tapping each girl on the head and saying "fairy." When she taps one girl and says "troll," that girl must get up and try to tag the tapper before she makes it to her seat. If the "troll" tags her, the tapper is out. If not, the tapper becomes part of the circle. The "troll" then becomes the tapper. Have the girls flap their arms as if they are fairies when they run around the circle.
Escape the Dragon
Choose one girl to be a dragon. Make the rest of the girls fairies. Use tape or chalk to mark a line where the fairies begin the game. Mark another line about 15 feet away to be the dragon's moat. Have the dragon stand behind the moat line. Tell the dragon to say, "Try and cross," to start the game. The fairies must cross the moat line as the dragon tries to tag them. If the dragon tags another girl, that fairy becomes part of the dragon's tail. She must hold hands with the dragon, along with any other tagged players. Have the untagged fairies return to the starting line and play again. Now the fairies have to avoid not only the dragon, but his tail as well. The last untagged fairy wins.
