Things You'll Need
Instructions
Carefully cut the end from the glow stick. Make sure to do this over a newspaper or other protected surface so as not to damage your table or counter top. Make sure to use the creamy, white colored glow stick, as this takes pigment well.
Empty the glowing contents of the stick into the glass bowl.
Stir in the rubbing alcohol. Alternatively, you can use vodka or witch hazel to create this solution.
Add the powdered mica pigment. Choose a color to create the color of glowing ink you want to achieve. For example, a half ounce of red and a half ounce of royal blue creates a purple tone.
Stir the mixture with a disposable stirring stick. The color should be a pastel; for a deeper tone add another ounce of the colored mica, which can be found in most craft and hobby supply shops.
Suck up the solution using a disposable plastic pipette and inject it into the ink bottle. Secure the lid and shake it vigorously.
