Pizza Making Games for Girls

Pizza cooking games are not only enjoyable, but they secretly add an educational element to any girls party. Just provide counter space, healthy ingredients and an adult to operate the oven if necessary. Let the girls use their imaginations in the creative design process and then have them come up with funny pizza categories, such as most humorous, prettiest, ugliest and best tasting, giving out prizes for the winning pizzas.
  1. The State of Pizza

    • Have the girls make state-shaped pizzas using regional ingredients.

On a poster board, write the names of states. There should be an equal number of state names for the number of girls at the party. Add a recipe and a list of ingredients that might represent foods from that state. Use ready-made uncooked pizza dough balls that the girls can form into shapes. Provide a map that clearly identifies the shape of each state so the girls can use it as a reference. Try to leave out complex state shapes, like Hawaii for younger girls. Make some dessert pizzas as well. For instance, to represent the state of Florida, offer fresh pieces of orange and ingredients for a confectioners’ sugar-based sauce. Research recipes and ingredients before the party, so the recipes and ingredients are ready to go.

    The Big Pizza

    • Make one large pizza from scratch, with each child individually decorating slices.

Provide a ready-made extra-large precooked pizza crust or create one station in your kitchen where the girls can either make the pizza dough or roll out an uncooked dough ball. If they are rolling the crust, provide a template so the girls know the size of the finished crust.

At a second station, provide ingredients to make a sauce. It can be a basic tomato pizza sauce or a family favorite. The girls in this station will also need to create boundaries for slices using mozzarella string cheese. One slice is needed for each girl at the party.

At station three, provide fun and healthy toppings. Each girl can decorate her own slice. Once the pizza is complete, bake until done.

The girls can enjoy their own creation or have them pick names from a hat so they can eat the slices made by their friends. Prizes can be awarded for the most creative slice.

    Pizza Art

    • Each girl can make her own work of art.

Give each girl a small ready-made precooked crust. Provide four stations with containers of different ingredients. One station can include a choice of two sauces, another four choices of cheese and the remaining two stations can offer three choices each of meat and vegetables.

Let the girls create the pizza art of their choice. Once all of the personalized pizzas are complete, bake until they are done. Give a prize for the best work of art.
