Dress Up
Dress up is an all time classic game. Old clothes, jewelry and makeup are all that&'s needed to get this game going. The purpose behind this game is to allow your children to dress up in your clothing and role play. The possibilities are endless because imagination and creativity are the driving factors behind this game, making it perfect for both boys and girls.
Board Games
A board game is another option for an indoor game. There are many board games designed for children that are perfect to play indoors. Candy Land, Monopoly, Twister, Clue, Checkers and Connect Four are just a few classical board games that the whole family can enjoy together.
Hide and Seek
Hide and Seek is another classic. This game can be played indoors also. The object of the game is to pick a person to be "It" or the seeker. While the seeker is counting out loud (to an agreed upon number) with his eyes closed, the other players hide. When the seeker is done counting he yells "ready or not, here I come" to let the other players know he&'s coming. The seeker then tries to find all the hidden players. The last player found gets to pick who will be "It" next.
Create an Obstacle Course
Create an indoor obstacle course if space permits. The obstacle course can be as simple as lining up a row of dining room chairs for the children to crawl under, then hopping on one foot through a row of hula hoops and finally crab walking to the finish line. The person with the fastest time wins. The obstacle course can be altered to be age appropriate for any child.
