Games for Bored Girls

Boredom can be cured with an entertaining game and friends to share it with. Finding activities for bored little girls can be as simple as looking through your closet and bathroom. When you are hosting a play date or party, and boredom is an issue, a few ideas can help you successfully entertain girls.
  1. Makeover Games

    • Makeover games encourage girls to use their imagination and creativity by assembling articles of clothing to form an outfit. Let them rummage through your make-up bag and closet to find useful items. Dress-up and makeover games are free and entertaining, though you should replace your cosmetic items and remove any stains from your clothing. The down side to makeovers is that you may need to spend time cleaning the girls after the makeover session is complete.

    Home Fashion Shows

    • Send three girls at a time to your bedroom and again let the girls invade your closet (and, if you are brave enough, your jewelry box). Allow them to assemble two or three outfits they would like to model. Encourage the girls to enjoy modeling by combining articles of clothing to make wild outfits. Tune a radio to your favorite station, and after they have changed, have one girl at a time strut down a hallway and execute poses and turns for the audience while you announce what she is wearing. After one girl has modeled and returns to the bedroom to change her clothes, send another girl down the make-believe runway to model her outfit. As one girl models, the other two should be changing their clothes. When all three girls have shown all of their outfits, have the audience declare a winner by applauding for the girl with the wackiest outfit. The model with the loudest applause is the winner of that group. Then send another group of girls to change for the fashion show. The fashion show is over after all of the girls have gotten a chance to model.

    The Secret Game

    • Play the secret game by instructing the girls to sit in a circle. Make sure they are spaced so that they have enough room to lean in to each other and whisper a secret. Make up a silly sentence and quietly whisper it to one of the girls. Have each girl disclose the secret to the girl sitting next to her by whispering it one time only. The sentence may not be repeated under any circumstances; the girls need to convey the information in their own terms. When the secret goes all the way around to the first girl in the circle, have her say what she just heard aloud. Afterwards, tell the girls the original secret. This is an entertaining game for anyone, but also teaches players that repeating secrets can lead to the misinterpretation of information, which can be hurtful and damaging to one’s credibility.
