'Sing It'
“Sing It” is one of the most popular video games on the market, and it’s offered on multiple video game consoles, including Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The video game package includes a microphone, which allows children and teens to sing along to their favorite songs. “Sing It” can also be played as a multi-player game by plugging in additional microphones. This karaoke-style game will keep kids entertained with more than 35 available songs. The game features music by Disney-affiliated artists, including Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato, as well as mainstream musicians, such as Taylor Swift, Colbie Caillat, Coldplay and One Republic.
'Print and Color'
If your preschoolers love to color, you should check out Disney’s printable coloring book. The “Print and Color” program is free and can be accessed through Disney’s official website. Children can print blank coloring pages featuring their favorite Disney characters, including Mulan, Mickey Mouse, Buzz Lightyear and Lightning McQueen. Kids can also design their own coloring pages by clicking on one of the Disney-themed Make-a-Picture options. Children can add multiple Disney characters to the coloring canvas and print their creative designs.
'Pixie Hollow'
Do your children love Tinker Bell? If so, they can take their imagination and fairy fascination to a new level with Disney’s interactive realm, “Pixie Hollow.” This fairy-fueled play space allows kids to create their own fairy avatar. By playing mini-games, players can use their online winnings to purchase furniture for their fairy homes, as well as other clothing and accessories for their characters. In addition, kids can interactive with other “Pixie Hollow” players online.
'Guesswords'
This interactive board game is designed for children ages six and older. Similar to “Password,” this fast-paced guessing game requires four players. The game includes a Mickey Mouse-shaped electronic device that acts as an electronic game host. When pressed, the “host” provides players with a Disney-themed clue. Players must guess the correct word before time runs out on the electronic clock.
'Sorcerer’s Incredible Car Chase'
This free PC game was inspired by the 2010 Disney movie, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” and can be accessed through Disney’s official web site. Using a computer keyboard, players must collect “magic” and “time points” and cast spells to stop the villain, Horvath, from destroying the city. Due to the accelerated, obstacle-filled car chase, this game may be less accessible to small children.
'Toy Story 3' Pop-O-Matic Trouble
This classic board game provides fun for the whole family with a “Toy Story” twist. After selecting a “Toy Story” game piece—Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Mr. Potato or Rex—players move around the board by using the “Pop-O-Matic” dice roller, which determines the amount of spaces a player can move forward. The first player to reach home base wins. This game is practical and entertaining for children ages five and older.
