Save Us Batman!
Gather the boys around a large outdoor space and select one kid to play Batman and another child to play the Joker. The rest of the boys play the citizens of Gotham City. Tell the Joker that he has to try and tag as many citizens as he can before Batman tags him. As soon as a citizen gets tagged by the Joker, they have to remain in a holding space you designate before the game, as recommended by the website, Kids Birthday Party Guide. Separate the Joker from Batman and give the Joker a 10-second head start to try and tag as many citizens as he can. After 10-seconds, Batman races to catch the Joker. If the Joker tags all of the citizens before Batman tags him, the Joker wins the game and becomes the new Batman. If Batman wins, pick another player to play Batman and have the Joker reprise his role in the next round.
Make it to the Batcave
Before this game from the website, Ultimate Kid Birthday Parties, give each of the boys a piece of black construction paper and have them make their own special Batman planes. Decorate a cardboard or shoe box to look similar to the Bat Cave from the comic books. Prop the box up a few feet away from the boys and have them all line up in front of it. The boys then take turns trying to fly their planes into the Bat Cave. After all of the boys try once, line them up further away from the box and have them try again. Eliminate any boys who do not make it inside the box. After several rounds of moving the line back, the last boy standing wins the game.
Riddles from the Riddler
Play this scavenger-hunt game inspired by the comic books by first coming up with clues leading to certain areas around the house or yard. You can say, for instance "Because you don&'t yet know where I&'m at, first find the book about your favorite bat," which leads to a Batman comic book, into which you can place your next riddle. The riddles continue until you lead up to a destination point, where you station the "Riddler," which you can play yourself or have another volunteer play. The players all follow the clues until they find the Riddler. Once they find him, he asks each of the players riddles. The player who solves the most riddles wins the game.
