Things You'll Need
Instructions
Iron cotton fabric to remove all the wrinkles.
Fold the fabric in half, right sides together. Align the fabric on a rotary cutting mat. Cut out twelve squares, 6-by-6-inch squares, using a rotary cutter tool and the guidelines on the mat.
Place the fabric so that the right sides are touching. Start sewing in the middle of one side and sew a 1/4-inch straight stitch seam around the fabric. Leave a hole in the top 2 inches wide so you can fill the bags easily. Stitch around the bag a second time for added durability.
Turn the bags right side out by poking the fabric back through the fill hole. Use the eraser end of a pencil to turn out the corners.
Fill the bag with 12 ounces of beans. Use the cheapest beans you can find for this project. Rice is also an acceptable fill material. Use a funnel to fill the bags faster.
Stitch the fill hole closed by locking in the stitch and stitching along the opening. Put the sewing machine into reverse and stitch backwards along the stitch until you reach the beginning. Repeat the process for the remaining bean bags.
