High Notes and Low Notes
This game involves having each boy and girl in the group sing a song as high as he or she can and as low as he or she can. The group votes on the song each player will sing. After all the boys in the group have performed, vote on which boy sang the highest and which sang the lowest. Then, let the girls perform and vote on which girl sang the highest notes and which sang the lowest. Continue until everyone has had a chance to play.
Divas and Rock Stars
Prepare for this game by gathering flamboyant costumes from thrift stores or your own closet. Kids are divided in to three or four teams. Once each team is formed and chosen a song, have them pick a group name, a group look using the costumes provided and some dance moves. Give each team 10-15 minutes to rehearse and put on their costumes. At the end of the "shows," each team votes for the team they liked best, other than the one they belong to. The team with the most votes wins.
Song Relay
Assemble all the kids in a circle and start a song. The first player sings only the first word in the song. After the first word, he quickly gives the microphone to the player to his left. Any player who sings more than one word--or sings the wrong word--is eliminated. Start the song over when this happens. Continue playing until only one player remains in the game. Try multiple songs with the kids, using rap songs to make the game all the more challenging.
