Shoe Shuffle
Play this game from the website, Party Game Ideas, by first having all of the players take off their shoes. Have the children look away as you place all of the shoes in a large pile, shuffling them around so that they become harder to find. Then, divide the students into two teams and line them up about six feet away from the pile of shoes. When you say "Go," the first players in each team race to the shoe pile and try to locate their shoes. After they find and put their shoes on, they race back to their teams. The next player then does the same. This continues until all of the members in one team have their shoes on. To increase the game's difficulty, have the players find the shoes of the teammate behind them.
Hula-Hoop Relay
Start the game by dividing the group into two teams, as suggested by the website, Birthday in a Box. Line the teams up horizontally, and give the first player in each team a Hula-Hoop. Have those players place the Hula-Hoops on the ground and stand in the middle of them. Tell the teams to hold hands with the players next to them. When you say "Go," the players have to move the Hula-Hoop over their heads and onto the shoulders of the next player. The first team to move the Hula-Hoop to the end of the line--without breaking hands--wins the game.
Don't Pop or Drop the Balloon
Prior to the game, blow up some balloons, enough for every two students you have in your classroom, as recommended by the website, Amazing Moms. Divide the class into pairs and line the pairs up horizontally on one side of the room. Have the pairs stand back-to-back and place a balloon in between them. When you say "Go," all of the pairs race to the other side of the room, making sure to not pop or drop the balloon. Any pair whose balloon pops or drops is disqualified. Continue with several rounds of this race until only one pair remains, winning the game.
