How to Make Corn Hole Game Bags

The cornhole game is also commonly called the bean bag toss game. A board is set up that may have one or more holes in it. Players must stand back and toss a bean bag through the hole to earn points. The player with the highest points wins the game. If you have a cornhole game board, you can make your own cornhole bean bags at home with some fabric and a pile of beans.

Cotton fabric
Ruler
Fabric scissors
Needle

Instructions

  Pick out the fabric you want to use to make your corn hole bags. It could be a plain color, or the fabric could have a design on it like flowers or polka dots. You will need two different patterns. You will have a total of eight bags, four for each player.

  Use a ruler to cut your fabric into 6-inch squares. You will need to cut eight squares from each pattern for a total of 16 squares.

  Take two squares and place the designs so that they are facing each other. You will be sewing the squares inside out, and turning them right-side out later.

  Sew all the way around each of the squares leaving a 2-inch opening near the top. You can use a needle and thread, or a sewing machine to do this.

  Turn your cornhole bags inside right. You can do this through the 2-inch hole at the top.

  Fill each corn hole bag with 12 oz. to 14 oz. of beans.

  Sew up the 2-inch hole so that the beans remain in the bag.
