Games for Teaching Correct Grammar to 1st Graders

The Montessori school and philosophy states that children are "curious, dynamic" people that "come to know the world through the senses" and "learn that which is of personal interest" after repeating the lessons until they acquire the necessary understanding. Whether you're teaching in a more traditional school environment or homeschooling your child, various games are available that make mastering the English language a fun and challenging process of discovery.

Intended for ages seven years and up and suitable for two to four players, kids move ahead by recognizing words and shouting them out, when turning cards over. Pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, verbs and nouns are all included. The first person to successfully move all the way down the court and score a basket wins.
