Killer Froggy
This game works best with at least 10 kids. Explain the rules of the game to everyone first. One child will be the killer froggy and one child will be a detective trying to figure out who the froggy is. Sit the children in a circle and then choose a child to act as the detective. Send the detective out of the room and then tell the rest of the kids to close their eyes.
Walk around the circle and tap one child on the back. The child you tap is the killer froggy. His mission is to stick his tongue out at the other children in the circle and "kill" them without being discovered by the detective. When a child gets tongue-zapped by the killer froggy, he must lay down and play dead. Bring the detective back in the room and sit him in the circle. Then start the game. Whenever someone dies, the detective gets two chances to guess who the killer froggy is. If he guesses wrong, the game continues. If he guesses correctly, a new round starts and two other kids become detective and froggy.
Duck Duck Goose
Kids can play this classic game indoors or out. It's popular with adults and children alike because lots of silliness and movement is involved and because it wears children out. Have the kids sit in a circle and choose one child to be It.
The child who is it walks around the outside of the circle and taps each player lightly on the head while saying, "Duck." When the tapper is ready to run, he taps a child's head and says, "Goose." The child who is tapped gets up and chases the tapper around the outside of the circle and tries to tag him before he reaches the empty seat. If the tapper gets tagged, he is It again. If he makes it back to the empty seat first, the child who failed to tag him becomes It.
Game Show Game
This memory game can be modified for children of all ages. Have the kids sit in a circle on the floor. The adult will act as the questioner and will pick a category and announce it to the group. The category can be "sea animals" or "vegetables" or "sports games" or any group that has a number of different options.
After the category is announced, the first child has 10 seconds to name five things that fit into the category. If they are able to do it, the the next child names five more things that fit in the category without repeating what the child before him said. The round goes on until a child repeats an object another child has already said or can't thing of something to say.
