Arcade Games for Ages 2-5

Traditional coin-operated arcade games are usually designed for older crowd. Although there aren't any true arcade games recommended for children ages 2 to 5, there are many online arcade games that work to develop a young child's skills and imagination. These new arcade activities are just as fun as the old-fashioned kid and inspire creativity and imagination without heavy adult supervision. There are numerous educational arcade games online that cater to this influential phase in the lives of 2- to 5-year-olds.
  1. Fish World

    • Have young children practice their creativity and building skills by making their own aquarium. This game starts off with large, friendly sea creatures such as a smiling crab. Press the big "Start" button to make the bottom of the ocean appear. Children can then decorate this ocean scene with bright green puff fish, sea shells and pink jelly fish. The animals are selected by simply clicking the icon and then clicking the area where they want to paste the image. Print the picture of the aquarium when your child is finished. Maze Games

    • These type of games are great for helping young children learn hand-eye coordination skills. Test thinking skills as well by learning how to navigate through mazes by dragging the mouse carefully within the walls of each maze. Simply push the mouse's button to draw a line. These mazes reset easily if it is necessary to start over. Maze games come in different shapes including trains, basketballs and mice. Drag and Drop

    • This is an online word game that will let your child pick a picture and drag it onto the correct word. Choose from easy objects such as a hat, a cat or a bed, then match them up to the three-letter words that appear in large yellow print. If your child drags the wrong character to a word, it simply returns to its original position. Finding the right word for the icon will result in a fun and entertaining graphic that will spring up to congratulate your child.
