Closet Costumes
Have every girl invited to the party or play date bring a random assortment of everyday clothes as well as dress-up clothes and costumes. Write each child's name on the tag of her clothing to sort clothes easily when the party is over. Set up a runway area in a long hallway or empty room. Decorate the walls and line the catwalk with flashlights or Christmas lights. Combine all the clothing in one room. Have the girls go into the room one at a time to assemble an outfit. After dressing, have each girl walk the runway to model her signature ensemble.
Make-overs
Have all girls bring a bag of dress-up clothes the party. Break the group into several teams, each equipped with clothes, shoes, hair tools and makeup. Each team chooses one girl to make over. Give the girls one hour to transform the selected girl. When complete, have the transformed girls model their new look. Parents and children can vote to which team completed the best make-over.
Costume Charades
Play a game of charades but with a new twist. Have each child pick a character but instead of merely acting out the selected card. Allot time for the child to run into a costume closet to assemble an outfit to convey the character to the audience. Between the costume and normal charade acting antics, the audience must correctly guess the portrayed character.
