Fastest, Longest Hair
This game should take place over a long period of time. It is ideal for siblings to play against one another. Using a charity organization such as Locks of Love, create a game centered around giving their hair to help other children in need. The kids participating should be aware of the end result and work to see who can grow their hair the longest most quickly in order to cut their hair and give it to children in the end. In the end, all the children in the game should send their hair to the organization. Take the children to the salon together and measure the hair after it has been cut to see who has the longest hair.
Cut Your Own Hair
Take a picture of all the children with their hair down. Using a color printer, cut out the pictures of the children. Give each child his own picture and some scissors and instruct him to cut his hair in the picture to a style he thinks is best suited for him. For a twist on this game, have the children do this with pictures of other children rather than their own pictures. Once the new hairdos have been created, hang the pictures up on the wall for the children to select their favorite. Try giving the children colored markers to enhance or change the looks.
Cut a Wig
Pair up all the children who are participating in the game. Give each child a wig that has long hair. Instruct the children to take turns cutting their partner's wig while the partner is wearing it. Have the children talk to their partners about their ideal style with the idea that their partner will work to create the look their partner would like. Each child should take a turn having her wig of hair cut and cutting her partner's wig of hair. Try using wigs with ordinary colors such as black and brown, or more wild such as pink and purple. Another option would be to allow each child to pick the color of hair she would like.
