Games for Girls to Play Indoors

When the weather's cold and rainy, sometimes girls want to stay indoors. Or, if they are having friends visiting for a sleepover, parents generally want them inside for the night. Watching television only goes so far before the girls start getting bored. Fortunately, girls can play lots of fun games indoors when going outside isn't an option.
  1. Talking Games

    • Some of the best games require no parts, assembly or electrical outlets. An interesting game that requires nothing but imagination is the classic "Would you Rather..." game. One person asks a question of the other participants, starting with the words, "Would you rather ..." Then the questioner gives two options such as, "Would you rather date Joe Jonas or David Henrie," and the other girls give an answer. The questions can be creative, humorous or bizarre, which makes the game engaging.

    Board Games

    • If the girls are young, they may enjoy Disney's Cinderella Pretty Pretty Princess Board Game, which involves moving around the board and collecting jewelry pieces before the ball begins. Older girls may like Scrabble, Twister or Yahtzee. If you don't have a particular board game, let the girls play online versions of board games.

    Online Games

    • Most girls learn how to play online games at a young age. Many girls collect Webkinz animals and play virtual games online in Webkinz World. Older girls may enjoy playing Harajuku girls dress up or Shopping with Friends games online at GirlsGoGames.com. These games are free. Oyunlar1.com offers free cooking games. Let the girls play the animated game and then try their hand at making actual fish tacos or lemon coconut cake. You can even print out the recipe after the game ends.

    Electronic Games

    • Many girls play a variety of games on a Wii, which also keeps the girls somewhat active while playing. Girls might love some of the Wii sport games like bowling, tennis or miniature golf. They can dance while singing songs from High School Musical on their Wii game version. Guitar Hero is loads of fun for girls who are a little older, although some younger ones may get the hang of handling the guitar and playing the notes too. Let them bring out their inner rock star playing classic Rolling Stones, Heart or Kiss tunes.
