Pin the Tail on the Monkey
Create your own version of Pin the Tail on the Donkey using a monkey instead. Draw a picture of a monkey without a tail on a piece of poster board. On a separate piece of poster board, draw as many tails for the monkey as there are children to play the game. Cut out the tails. Add doubled-sided tape to the backside of the tail. Give each child a tail. One at a time, blindfold the children, spin them around and have them try to place the monkey's tail in the correct place. If you are unable to draw a monkey, find an image online that you can print out and blow up.
Feed the Monkey
Draw a large monkey face on a piece of cardboard. Cut a hole where the monkey's mouth is. Make banana bean bags by cutting out two pieces of yellow fabric the shape of a banana. Sew the pieces together leaving a small opening to fill with beans. After the banana is filled with beans, sew the hole closed. If you are unable to sew, use a strong fabric glue to glue the banana bean bags together. Lay the monkey face against a wall or fence at a slight angle. Have the children stand 5 feet from the monkey. Give each child a chance to throw three banana bean bags into the monkey's mouth. You can change the distance the children stand from the monkey depending on their ages.
Peel a Banana Like a Monkey
Give each child a banana. Have the children hold the bananas behind their backs. The children should try to peel the bananas behind their backs. The child who finishes first wins. For younger children, you may need to start peeling the banana by cutting the top of the banana off before the game begins.
