Babysitting Games for Girls

Babysitting is a fun way to make extra money, but girls can sometimes be challenging. If you know how to keep kids busy and having fun, they will not only give you less problems, but they just might get tired more quickly! Here are a few games to play with the girls you are babysitting that will help ensure an evening of fun and laughter.
  1. Glam It Up!

    • Little girls love to be girly, so use that to your advantage! Set out make-up (with parent's permission, of course) and time the girls putting on their "faces." The first girl to put on eye shadow, blush and lipstick wins a prize.

Better yet, if there are two girls or two groups of girls, let each of them put make-up on each side of your face. Whoever gets done fastest wins!

Play dress-up! Place a bunch of items in a box and time the girls getting dressed from head to toe.

These games are not only fun, but a surefire way to get the girls to take baths without a hassle. After all, they have to wash all that stuff off of their faces!

    Star Chefs

    • What kid doesn't love to cook? Since you are likely to have to eat at least one meal anyway, why not turn food time into fun time?

Let each girl make mini pizzas for each other or for you. Let the girls judge each other's pizzas and give dessert prizes to all.

Play hide and seek with dessert. Hide all of the fixings needed to make dessert (unless it needs to be frozen or refrigerated) in different places throughout the space. Once all items are found, you can begin to make dessert. Let each girl add the ingredient or ingredients that she found into the recipe. The prize is that everyone gets to eat a yummy treat!

    Old Favorites

    • Do not disregard the old standbys of card and board games. These games can be a lifesaver when the kids begin to get restless and tired. Once the session begins to wind down, calm things down a bit with a good game of cards or a fun board game of the girls' choosing.

Interactive games, such as charades, name that tune, or guess the person, are also great ways to settle the kids down and get them ready bed.
