Instructions
Fill a bathtub, kitchen sink or bucket with water. To preserve water, fill up only to 1/4 the capacity of the object.
Get an old credit card to start the project. Remember: Active credit cards should not be used as toys or carelessly handled by anyone other than the credit card holder.
Hold the credit card between your index and thumb. Only a light grip is needed. For additional support and handling, hold the credit card using the whole of your hand. If you are left-handed, your left hand will probably resemble a large "C" when you have the credit card in place. In other words, your thumb will grip the bottom edge of the credit card and your fingers (held closely together) will grip the top edge.
Keep the credit card placed near the tip of your thumb and fingers. This will allow you to easily place the credit card on the surface of the water.
Gently place the credit card on the surface of the water.
Move several inches or feet, depending on the size of the area, away from the credit card and then agitate the water to create motion.
With your hand submerged under the water, move it up and down (but still submerged) to create a series of waves. The choppier the waves, the shorter the distance the credit card will travel. Create strong waves to get the credit card to travel farther.
