How to Make a Baggo Board

Baggo is a competitive bean bag toss game. Played with 2 teams, Baggo uses 2 boards placed 27 feet apart. Each board uses a 1/2-inch thick piece of plywood that measures 2 by 3 feet. It has a 6-inch hole cut 12 inches in and 9 inches from the top of the board. Baggo boards are tilted so the back end of the board is 1 foot off the ground. Boards for tournament play are 2-by-4 feet in length.

Instructions

    • 1

Put on the safety glasses. Using the hand saw, cut the 4-foot 2-by-4 into two 20-inch lengths of wood. You will now have two 20-inch lengths of wood and a 4-inch scrap piece. Use the hand saw and cut the 8-foot 2-by-4 into two 3-foot lengths and two 1-foot lengths. Put aside the 1-foot lengths for now.

    • 2

Using these pieces, build an oblong frame that is 2-by-3 feet in dimension. Attach the pieces to each other using screws. Sand the plywood board until it is smooth.

    • 3

Measure 12 inches in from 1 side and 9 inches down from the top of the plywood. Mark the intersection with the pencil. This is the center point for the 6-inch circle found on the top of a Baggo board. Using the marked point and the compass, draw a 6-inch circle. Using the jigsaw, cut the circle out.

    • 4

Nail the plywood to the 2-by-3 foot frame. Using screws, attach each of the 1-foot lengths of 2-by-4 to the backside of the frame. (The back of the frame is the side with the hole in the plywood.)
