Educational Games for Toddlers

Research has shown that a variety of activities enhances your toddler's development. Educational games allow you to incorporate a multitude of settings into your toddler's day. This produces lots of stimulation for their brain, promoting healthy cognitive, physical, emotional and mental development.
  1. Arts and Crafts

    • Painting, drawing, cutting and pasting are all great crafts for toddlers. Tracing hands and feet seem to be a favorite among many toddlers, and it is one of the simplest things you can do.

    Outdoor Fun

    • Exploring nature through walks or wagon rides, and gathering items found in nature are great things to do with your toddler.

    Fun in the Kitchen

    • Creating rice crispy treats, or baking and decorating cupcakes are fun ways to cook. Toddlers really love being able to sample the food.

    Travel

    • Sometimes traveling can be fun. You could always play car games like "I Spy," or take along some books to read.

    Music

    • Pop in a CD and move to some music. You could also make your own instruments and enjoy the quality time spent together.

    Holidays

    • Holidays are a good time to find ways to teach your toddler about what you are celebrating. There is always an abundance of holiday specific recipes, arts and crafts, and other activities you normally do in your home around the holidays. Allow your toddler to help out.

    Birthday Parties

    • Birthday parties are an excellent time to play games like "Musical Chairs" or "Pin the Tail on the Donkey." These are some old-time favorites that the kids really enjoy.
