Float on it. Because of the dense Styrofoam material that is used to create the noodles, they easily float on the water and can help keep you afloat without too much effort.
Use multiple pool noodles to create an even larger float. Some stores actually sell connectors for the pool noodles so you can custom-design a float that will fit to your liking.
Place the noodle out in the pool to use a jump marker. See how far you can jump by trying to jump over the noodle, or have someone else mark your jump after you have landed. You can then try to beat that jump or have someone else challenge it.
Tow somebody easily around the pool by having them hang on to an end of the noodle. Grab the other end and just swim or walk around the pool and give them a ride.
Play tug of war with the noodle. Stand in the low end of a pool and have 2 swimmers each grab one end. Play Tug of War until someone loses their grip of the noodle.
Squirt water with the noodle. Many of them are creating with a hole that goes through each end of the noodle, so by applying your mouth to the end of the noodle and blowing, you can squirt water out of it.
Pretend that you are fishing. Have one person sit outside of the pool with the noodle hanging in. Another swimmer pretends to be a fish and grabs onto the noodle like a fish is biting it.
Surf on the noodle. Push the noodle down into the water and try to balance yourself and float on the noodle while it is under water. See how long you can stand on the noodle before you fall off.
