Instructions

    • 1

Find a wide open space to play and run, such as a backyard, field or gym.

    • 2

Choose two players to be "it" or to be the "spiders." Choose by playing eeni, meenie, minie, moe; one potato two potato or any other such chanting game. You can also have all the players pick a number between one and one hundred to decide.

    • 3

Decide upon an area to build a spider's web where players who are tagged can go.

    • 4

Become part of the spider's web when you are tagged by "it" by laying down on the ground and making a web-like construction with your bodies. Do this by touching hands, feet or your head to someone else who is part of the spider's web.

    • 5

Continue on in this manner until every player except the "its" are a part of the spider's web.

    • 6

Instruct both "its" and "spiders" to walk through the spider's web by stepping between the outstretched limbs, being careful not to step on anyone, as they decide which players to have for dinner.

    • 7

Become the next "it" if you are one of the two to be chosen by the spiders as "it." Play the game as many times as you like or until players become bored and are ready to move on to something new.
