Things You'll Need
Instructions
Form snowballs. Scoop a handful of snow into your palm. Press the snow together until it holds the shape of a ball. You may need to roll it across the snow and press it together a few times to get a nice, round shape. You need 16 snowballs of approximately the same size for each snow candle.
Make small igloos. Place seven snowballs in a circle, with the edge of each snowball touching the snowball next to it to form the first layer. The second layer will consist of five snowballs placed on top of the dips of the first layer and slightly inside the first layer. The third layer will use three snowballs and be slightly inward from the second layer. The top of the igloo is the final snowball.
Form ventilation holes. Make sure there are holes between the layers of snowballs to allow the hot air to vent. The holes should be small, no larger than the size of pencil poke.
Pull the top snowball off the snow igloo and place a candle into the cavern inside. Light the candle and place the top snowball back onto the igloo.
Adjust the ventilation holes, depending on what happens to flame. If there is too much air, the wind will blow the candle out. If there is not enough ventilation, the candle will suffocate and go out.
