Instructions

    • 1

Invite kids to wear old clothes, or provide smocks.

    • 2

Divide players into pairs, then split the entire group into two rows, with paired players facing each other.

    • 3

Arrange the players in each row so that they're standing 3 or 4 feet apart.

    • 4

Choose one row, and hand everyone in that row an egg.

    • 5

Blow the whistle, and have the players with the eggs toss them to their partners.

    • 6

Ask the receiving players to take a step back after catching the eggs. If a partner breaks the egg (whether in his or her hands or on the ground), the pair is eliminated from the game.

    • 7

Blow the whistle again, indicating this time that the receiving players toss the eggs to their partners. Again, those who manage to catch the eggs without cracking them must take a step back before tossing the eggs again.

    • 8

Continue the game until all pairs but one are eliminated.

    • 9

Award the winning pair a prize.
