Games for Teenage Girl Sleepovers

There are a few ingredients to any good sleepover: food, laughter and games to play. Games keep a party flowing smoothly, entertaining guests for hours on end in a way movies can't. For teenage girls, leave behind the board games for something a little edgier and more social to keep the party jumping into the wee hours.
  1. Fortune-telling Games

    • Everyone wonders what the future holds and teenage girls are no different, so play with different fortune-telling games, like an Ouija Board, to predict what's yet to come. Let girls rest their hands on the marker and ask the board questions, spelling out the answers letter by letter. Provide a pack of tarot cards and have girls practice giving one another "readings" to define their futures from the mysterious deck or pass around a Magic 8-Ball and ask it questions.

    Scavenger Hunt

    • Send girls searching for a slew of crazy items by playing scavenger hunt games. For a traditional version, divide girls into teams and give each a list of items to find around the neighborhood or wherever the party is held. Alternate between a traditional and a digital scavenger hunt. For the digital version, have team members take photos of each item on their list, including things that cannot be moved or carried away, like a statue or car.

    Truth or Dare with Balloons

    • Truth or Dare is a perennial sleepover classic made all the more exciting with a unique twist. Have players write down various questions and dares on small slips of paper and insert each slip into a balloon. Inflate and mix up the balloons, instructing each player select one. Next, the first girl to take a turn pops her balloon, retrieves the slip of paper and answers the questions or takes on the dare.

    Around-the-Table Ping Pong

    • Try a fast-paced variation of ping pong all guests can play at once. Have the girls gather around the table and instruct two to grab paddles and stand at either end. One girl serves, puts down the paddle and moves to the right. The girl next to her then grabs the paddle and hits the ball back across the table before putting down the paddle for the next player. Soon, the girls are quickly circling the table, taking one turn at time for each side.
