Fun Party Games That Celebrate Differences in Couples

Even though you love your partner, you may realize during your relationship that you aren't exactly the same. From the way you remember events to the way you wrap boxes, there are many small differences between the two of you. There are several party games meant to celebrate these differences and possibly enhance your relationship.
  1. The Newlywed Game

    • In the Newlywed Game, one member of the couple leaves the room while the other member of the couple is asked questions about their relationship. After this, the first member returns and is asked the same questions. This is followed by a second round, in which the roles are reversed. Points are scored based on how many times both members of the couple give the same answer to a question. The winning couple is the one who, at the end of the game, has the most points.

    Name Game

    • In the Name Game, couples are given a group of names. Some of the names are more popular with women, and the rest are more popular with men. Each couple is given 30 seconds per round, in which one partner must make the other partner guess the correct name. The person with the name cannot say the name or spell the name. They can only say the first letter of the name, and can reference anything else related to the person. For each name guessed correctly, the couple scores one point. There are two rounds, so that each member of the couple can take a turn guessing. The couple with the most points after both rounds wins.

    Zombies!

    • In Zombies! each couple is tied together at both hands. Each couple is then given an empty box, a roll of wrapping paper, a ribbon, and a bow. The couples must work together to properly wrap the box, tie the ribbon around the box, and place the bow on top. The first couple that is successfully able to perform this task is the winner.

    Find Your Partner

    • In Find Your Partner, every player is blindfolded. The players must then use their instincts and knowledge of their partner to find them before anyone else finds theirs. The first couple to find each other is declared the winner.
