Ooey Gooey Party Games

When planning an ooey-gooey party, organize some messy games for the guests to play. Ooey-gooey parties create an entertaining birthday theme and are ideal for Halloween parties. With some careful planning and a creative imagination, you can create memorable games guests will be talking about for weeks to come. Award all game winners with prizes, such as silly putty and tubs of ooze, to take home as mementos of the party.
  1. Aim Games

    • Ask players to select a partner and place a chair on top of a plastic tarp or old sheet. Instruct one player to sit on his knees in the chair, facing the back of the chair. Ask his partner to lie on the floor on his back and place his head by the legs of the chair. Give the player in the chair a tube of tomato paste and have the player on the ground hold a plastic cup in his mouth. The player in the chair must squeeze the tomato paste into the cup. Have each team do the same thing. The team with the most tomato paste in their cup wins the game. Alternatively, use a tube of frosting, toothpaste or candy slime.

    Slime Games

    • Fill an ice cube tray with water and drop a piece of slime in each cube. Freeze the tray overnight. Divide the players into groups of three or four and give each team an ice cube. The teams must melt the ice cubes to retrieve the slime. They cannot break the ice cube to get to the slime. The first team to melt the ice cube enough to retrieve the slime wins the game. Play a game of pass the slime by having all players sit in a circle. Hand one player the slime and play music. The players can pass the slime around the circle while the music plays. The player holding the slime when the music stops is out of the game. The last player remaining wins the game.

    Egg Games

    • Hard boil a few eggs and mix them in a bowl with raw eggs. Ask the player who wants to play a game of egg roulette. Players must quickly grab an egg from the bowl and bust it on their head. Anyone who takes a raw egg to the head wins a prize. Alternatively, play a game of egg toss by having each player select a partner. The pair who can toss a raw egg from the farthest distance without dropping or breaking it wins the game.

    Bobbing Games

    • Mix milk, red food coloring and flour to thicken it up in a small plastic pool or bucket. Float apples in the mixture and have one player at a time bob for an apple. If a player can grab an apple using only her teeth in 30 seconds or less, she earns a prize. Make it a race by having two players sit on opposite sides of the pool. The first player to grab an apple from the pool using only her teeth wins the game. Another idea is to fill the pool with ooze or slime instead of the milk mixture.
